Nader Francis, Colorectal Surgeon at Yeovil District Hospital, Director of Training at the Griffin Institute, London, Honorary Professor at UCL- Division of Surgery and Interventional Science, Internal Auditor of the EAES
Nader Francis is an expert colorectal surgeon and is committed to Minimal Invasive Surgery (MIS) and enhanced recovery and continues to improve patient experience through an excellent relationship with the whole multi-disciplinary team. In addition to fostering these locally, Nader has been working to promote safe adoption of MIS through his educational role in national and international training programmes.
Nader is a passionate teacher/ educator and is a recognised expert trainer and educational lead in the fields of colorectal surgery, MIS and peri-operative care. Nader has presented and published widely in those fields and his educational expertise lies around designing, delivering and assessing educational curricula which underpinned his latest appointment as the Director of Training at the Griffin Institute, leading the development of this MIS/ Robotic training centre in London.
Nader has been heavily involved in both the ALSGBI and EAES. Served as the chair of the research committee of EAES and currently the internal auditor and the formal Honorary Secretary and current audit lead of ALSGBI.
