The Rectal Prolapse Surgical Management Cadaveric Course is designed for hands-on practice on Thiel-embalmed cadavers. This course is suitable for Consultants, Fellows & ST7 – ST8 with an interest in pelvic floor dysfunction. Each session will be preceded by talks and video presentations followed by demonstrations and cadaveric practical sessions.
Day 1:
Laparoscopic Suturing Techniques ; Literature Review on Laparoscopic Ventral Mesh & Posterior Rectopexy followed by Practical Session on Hybrid Animal Model
Day 2:
Thiel Laparoscopic Ventral Mesh Rectopexy & Posterior Rectopexy
Course dinner at the D.C.A. – 19.00hrs

Literature review on the Delorme´s/Perineal Recto-sigmoidectomy – Altemeier followed by Thiel practical demonstration
