The Future of Robotic Surgery – Thursday 5th February – Royal Society of Medicine; Innovation in surgical practice continues at pace and in recent years the introduction of minimally invasive surgery (MIS) and robotically assisted MIS have led to faster recovery rates, reduced post operative pain and morbidity as well as minimal scarring. This meeting will focus on the latest developments in robotic surgery as well as the challenges for the future of the discipline, covering areas as varied as soft robotics, steerable instruments and robotic intelligence in surgery.
